Prateek Khandelwal is the Founder and Managing Director of accessibility start-up RampMyCity. He is a National Award winning Social Entrepreneur, an IVLP (USA) Alumni, an International Speaker and recipient of several prestigious awards like the President’s Award 2024, Sawai Jaipur Award 2022, CNN Network 18 Award 2022 and Universal Design Award 2021. Prateek suffered a waist down paralysis in 2014 due to a spinal cord injury after which wheelchair became a part of his life. He founded RampMyCity in 2020 with the vision of doing on-ground accessibility interventions in public and private sectors through simple infrastructural solutions and adequate human training for the inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) & Elderly Population of India. In less than 4 years RampMyCity has made 600+ places of public usage accessible for PwDs. RampMyCity’s work has been appreciated by international bodies such as UNICEF, W.H.O, World Bank and it has a growing list of reputed clientele vouching for its accessibility solutions.
