• As a satellite scientist, has rich experience in Satellite Mission Planning, Analysis and Operations and worked for over 25 Indian Satellite Missions at ISRO Satellite Centre (now U R Rao Satellite Centre)
• Worked at German Space Agency DLR and at NASA
• Invited to Japan in 2008 by Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) as a member of the panel on “Space Education for Young People” AND invited to France in 2010 for PR related consultation
• Obtained Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Mysore University for the Thesis work “Contribution of External and Indigenous Technological Elements to India’s space Capabilities: An Appraisal” at the affiliated National Institute of Advanced Studies, Indian Institute of Science Campus, Bangalore
• Obtained Proficience Certificate in the subject “Principles of Flight” (Aeronautics)
• Written and Broadcast Extensively on Space related topics including Indian Space Programme in English and Kannada
• Written more than 600 articles on science in English and Kannada (official language of the state of Karnataka in Southern India) Newspapers, Magazines and Newsletters
• Written thirteen books on Astronomy and Space in English and Kannada and contributed to many Encyclopedias and Compendiums (one of the books translated to eleven other Indian languages including Sanskrit)
• Broadcast nearly one hundred variety science programmes including Live Phone-in Programmes in All India Radio (AIR), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) FM station Gyan Vani, Doordarshan (Indian State Television), Private TV Channels etc.
• Delivered more than 700 lectures on various science topics in educational and public service institutions and teacher’s reorientation programmes AND Made many TV documentaries on space and astronomy in English and Kannada
• Performed media management for ISRO as its PRO and later as Associate Director, PR for over two decades
• Conducted more than 600 ISRO exhibitions in India as well as abroad and many Water Rocket Making Workshops and Launch Competitions at National and International Level
• Conducted more than 150 quiz programmes in various institutions in many parts of India and in radio and TV
• As a resource person on Space and Astronomy, taught the teachers community all over Karnataka through satellite as part of Karnataka Directorate for State Educational Research and Training SATCOM programme AND interacted with students in different parts of India simultaneously through webinars and podcasts
• Extensively interviewed by English and vernacular Radio and TV on Indian space program, including Chandrayaan 3 and Aditya
• Visited Austria, Dubai, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Japan, Qatar, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States
