Prateek Karkare is a healthcare AI platform architect specializing in turning AI from prototype into reliable, production-grade enterprise systems at scale.

With over 14 years of experience across healthcare AI, medical imaging, interoperability, and distributed systems, he currently architects AI infrastructure at RapidAI, where the platform processes over 8+ million medical scans annually across enterprise healthcare environments. His work focuses on building trusted, high-availability AI systems for clinically critical workflows spanning hybrid cloud/on-prem deployments, Kubernetes orchestration, interoperability, and large-scale distributed infrastructure.

Previously, Prateek helped architect Walmart Health’s interoperability and virtual care platforms aimed at enabling scalable and accessible healthcare delivery. His background spans embedded systems, cloud-native platforms, machine learning infrastructure, and enterprise software architecture, with experience operating in both startup and large-enterprise environments.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Prateek has authored research publications and holds patents spanning AI infrastructure and advanced computing systems. He is particularly interested in the practical realities of deploying AI responsibly in complex enterprise environments — including reliability, trust, operational scalability, and measurable business impact.
