Ishita Katyal

Ishita Katyal, all of 13 years is an Author & Motivational speaker. She believes that there is so much in the world for every person to learn and imply in the present moment; specially to always be a child at heart while doing things you love. Ishita says that there should be nothing stopping any child from experimenting to do what they want to do in life and they should not wait to be an adult to follow their passion.

Ishita has spoken at the prestigious global TED Conference in Vancouver, TEDYouth in New York, TEDxGateway, NASSCOM, AMCHAM: Future of work conference, Toastmasters & Corporate companies like CISCO, AMDOCS, Invesco, Broadridge, Barclays to name a few. Ishita emphasises the message that all adults have a responsibility to not only help young people discover their passions but also to always remain passionate in whatever they do.

Ishita has been the youngest TEDxYouth organiser in the Asia-Pacific region. The Team TEDxYouthBalewadi organised events in the Year 2015 and 2016.
Ishita is also facilitated with 2015 Sakhi Samman award from Lokmat, REX Karmaveer Chakra Award and REX Global Fellowship 2014-15. She loves to write, dance, sing, innovate and spend time with her loved ones. Like any other young girl, she adores watching various series of interest which provides her with perspective in her day-to-day life. Being an avid reader, she digs into John Green, Cecilia Ahern and Lois Lowry in her free time. She is author of “Simran’s Diary” which she wrote only at an age of 8.

Ishita is one of the youngest authors in India and was also featured in the Child Magazine as one amongst the 8 Child Prodigies of India.
