HR Leader with global exposure and 35+ years of well-rounded, rich & diverse experience. He has been designated as the Key Management Personnel since April 2010, as the Chief People Officer of National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), the 3rd Largest exchange in the world and till March 31, 2023. Chandrasekhar has the unique exposure of working in both Greenfield and Brownfield projects and assignments, including working in different work environments and cultures, like MNCs, Indian Companies (both professionally board and promoter driven) Public Sector, Government of India and NGO.
He is known to facilitate organizations to conceptualise / implement HR and Employee Relations best practices, including spearheading implementation of eHR in his last six companies and Merger & Acquisition.
Till recently was associated with Bhilosa Industries, as Senior President, a textile company with an annual turnover of Rs. 12000 Cr, 35 factories and an employee strength of 11,000. Prior to this Alumini of South Indian Bank, SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited & Group companies, National Stock Exchange of India & its Group Companies, Times of India Group, Cabot India Ltd, Colgate-Palmolive, Group Usha, Modern Group, Coal India Ltd, Department of Customs & Central Excise and Magic Bus Foundation (NGO).
In addition to the above he is a Council Member of GLG, USA (Gerson Lehrman Group), world’s leading knowledge market place, World Assessment Council, Boston, USA and currently mentoring start-ups, as an Advisory Board / Council member of Vista Intelligence (Fin Tech / Data Science) and Blue Pencil Strategies Private Limited (Fin Tech Solution provider for the social sector).
He is a masters in Personnel & Industrial Relations from Allahabad University, known as ‘Chandra’, among his sports fraternity, he is a sports enthusiast and former national ranked table tennis player. Professionally, facilitated NSE win the prestigious CII Exim Bank Business Excellence Prize twice in 2014 & 2016, at the Annual National Quality Summit of the CII and certified as ‘’Great Workplace” by the GPTW Institute, USA and ranked 44th (All India) in the Economic Times GPTW Awards in June 2017.
In recognition of his body of work, Chandrasekhar has also been recognised internationally at the World CHRO conference 2016-17 in Dubai and ‘HR Mavericks’ Award in Digital Era at the at the Go Digital 2020 conference 2020 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
