Socio-Political Activist and Commentator, Convenor- The Open Platform for Netaji

Chandra Kumar Bose, son of Amiya Nath Bose and Jyotsna Bose, grandson of Sarat Chandra Bose and grandnephew of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

Scholastic Achievements– obtained the General Certificate of Education from U.K. Studied Economics at Hendon College, London, (UK), Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management, IMM, Kolkata, affiliated to the Institute of Technology, West Bengal. He also attended a course in Law at the Birkbeck College, University of London.

Career – In 1982 started his career as a Management Trainee with Tata Steel. After his internship as a Trainee in Jamshedpur, he joined the Marketing and Sales Division as a Marketing Officer, and thereafter was promoted as the Area Sales Manager. His tenure at Tata Steel was till December 2000 a span of dedicated 18 years.

Chandra Kumar Bose started his own Consultancy firm in Human Resource / Skill Development – Bose Information & Technology Pvt Ltd in Kolkata. Bose Information Technology, Germany has partnered with IBM since 1998. The core area of work at Bose Information Technology (Hamburg, Germany) is expertise in Software Development and in Kolkata, in the field of Human Resources Development and Skill Training

Chandra Kumar Bose worked on social issues, and is associated with Indian Socialist Democratic Forum (ISDF) an organization conducting awareness programs for the people on Human Rights in India. ISDF assists people in legal matters where rights have been violated. He has been associated with Netaji Subhas Foundation (NSF) operating out of Kolkata and London. NSF is a Research institute involved with unravelling the true story of the Azad Hind Fauj and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Chandra Kumar Bose had the privilege and honour to deliver the keynote address at various debates and seminars at Universities in India and abroad, including the Nehru Centre in London on the Vision for the Youth in context to the Indian Freedom Movement

Chandra Kumar Bose is the Spokesperson and Convenor of The Open Platform for Netaji since 2012. He spearheaded the ‘Declassification of Netaji files movement, which gathered momentum not only in India, but worldwide. He is involved in the documentation and publication of the true history of India’s freedom struggle for the period- 1857- 1947.

Chandra Kumar Bose joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in January 2016. He was made Vice President of BJP, West Bengal and he contested the Assembly Elections 2016, from the Bhowanipore constituency and the Lok Sabha Elections 2019, from South Kolkata constituency and secured 4.17 Lac votes.

Attended the ‘Global Justice Love and Peace Summit’, as a speaker held in Dubai, in April 2025. Interacted with world leaders, thinkers, Nobel laureates and change makers from across the globe. Discussions gave an insight and a vision how to attain peace in a world torn apart with conflict.
