Anamika Dey

Anamika believe innovation is meaningful only when it is inclusive—when it uplifts rural women, small farmers, artisans and grassroots problem-solvers who innovate with courage but remain unseen by formal systems.

Since 2009, She has worked at the intersection of grassroots innovation, rural entrepreneurship, agrobiodiversity conservation and climate resilience, connecting local ingenuity to enterprise, livelihoods and policy influence. Her work is driven by the belief that communities are not just beneficiaries—they are knowledge holders and co-creators of solutions.

She serve as CEO – Gujarat Grassroots Innovation Augmentation Network (GIAN) and Co-Director – GIAN-ASTRE, where she helped establish innovation pipelines that identified, validated and scaled grassroots technologies for livelihood generation. She continue to contribute to the Honey Bee Network and serve as Associate Editor of the Honey Bee Journal, which documents traditional knowledge and innovations from India and beyond.
