Vijay Simha has spent more than 18 years with luminous names in the Indian media, @ The Pioneer, The Indian Express & Tehelka and today works as a senior journalist while conducting sobriety campaigns and counseling for alcohol and drug addiction. He has managed newsrooms and helped launch print publications. He has written on Indian politics and society in hundreds of articles. In the social sphere, he has been Editor with Greenpeace and also worked with Gene Campaign. He has been written about and featured on Indian and Bhutanese TV. He has been on CNN-IBN’s Face the Nation, The Last Word, and Living It Up; Express Punjab and Glut, both documentaries on addiction in Punjab; and NDTV’s One Life To Love. Vijay Simha is a Columnist with www.sify.com where he writes the column India Gate. He is an Addiction Counsellor and Sobriety Campaigner based out of New Delhi. He was a guest on Season I of the popular Indian TV show Satyamev Jayate, hosted by Bollywood star Aamir Khan. His last fulltime journalism assignment was as Executive Editor with The Financial World, New Delhi, and as Executive Editor with Tehelka.
