TED speaker Piya Bose quit her lucrative job as a lawyer to follow her passion for travel and started the women only Girls on the Go Travel Club that started on a zero cash business model and since then has taken women expedition cruising to Antarctica, photographing the Northern Lights at the Arctic, staying with the head hunters of Nagaland, ger camping at Mongolia, trekking up a volcano and to the Everest Base Camp and much more. GOTG has been featured in Lonely Planet, Elle, Vogue, Al Jazeera, Singapore Straits, Star Malaysia and most leading publications in India.
Piya visited Antarctica to say hello to the penguins and then crossed over the Arctic Circle to Greenland to meet the Innuits (descendants of the Eskimos) within a span of 3 months. She is currently visiting Indus Valley sites to research on whether an environmental crisis led to the disappearance of the Indus Valley Civilization and lessons modern civilization can learn to prevent history from repeating itself.
