Capt Shalini Singh is a proud Indian Army veteran, inspirational speaker and Mrs India Queen of Substance 2017. She also became the first Indian to represent country in beauty pageant (Ms Earth in USA) in the single parent category.
Honoured by Mrs Savita Kovind and Indian Army, Capt Shalini has won many other coveted awards like Veer Nari Samman puruskar by Govt of India, EPIC award 2018, Citations of honours by Lions club and All India achievers award.
She has travelled a remarkable journey from being an ordinary house wife, a mother to a Veer Nari (martyr widow of Maj Avinash Singh Bhadauria, Kirti Chakra) to herself becoming lady officer in Indian Army, to corporate life, to almost fatal accident to the present Mrs India (2017-18).
From emotional injuries to physical injuries to the extent of being bed ridden for almost a year, she is true example of how every adversity can be made a stepping stone for even better future. She still has partially restricted mobility of limbs.
A runner, despite being advised otherwise by doctors due to her injuries, Capt Shalini is big time into various social activities related to slum children, cancer support, animal welfare, disability, environment and supporting war widows.
Other than being a soft skills and pageant trainer, she is a regular speaker at various platforms like schools and corporates and has been admired by well known names like G D Goenka, Yum foods, Army Wives welfare association (AWWA), Lions club, Revlon India, Mukta Foundation Chennai and many more.
Capt Shalini was taken as face of Indian Army in the campaign, “Do you have it in you”. She has also been associated with various campaigns and shows:
- As brand ambassadors: Mrs Rajasthan, Mom and Me, Skin essentials, J K Cement ltd, Face of mothers’ day campaign of Pizza hut, Super Sikh run and Soldierathon.
- As jury and selector with various talent shows and beauty pageants like Mrs India, Ms UP, Mrs Rajasthan and many more.
